August 2026 Recap
The dogs and I have spent August working sheep and ducks with some beach days thrown in to escape the oppressive heat wave we had in Southern California.
We've had fun playing in the field and the arena, while also getting some tending working in as well.
Severus and I took a break from out regular herding activities to compete in our first ever AKC Rally trial where we came in first place in the Novice A class with a score of 99!
I was so nervous to trial in a new sport that I have limited practice in but Sev was rock solid as always and took care of me, like he always does. We had so much fun and we met some really lovely people. Now he just needs two more qualifying runs to finish off his first Rally title and we are looking forward to more trials in the Fall/Winter.
Our Summers are usually spent focusing on training and just trying to stay cool as much as possible. The Fall is when our show and trial season really kicks off around here. We have so many fun things planned for the coming months and we look forward to sharing our adventures so stay tuned!
